you cant look for other peoples guitar tones and copy it(if that is what you were going for) its all down to amp,guitar,pick,strings and the person playing most of all you gotta find your own tone thats one the best things about guitar

I don’t think about …
I don’t think about modes. I just use the root major scale for all seven chords that are built on the one scale. So G7 would be considered a chord built on the fifth of the C major scale. I’m aware of what chord I’m on and what the chord tones are.

Major, minor, minor …
Major, minor, minor, major, dominant, minor, and half diminished. Therez a flat 7 in dominant, so it cant be a major scale. The half diminished is a minor & diminished scale. Think minor 7b5. Good lesson, ima start useing the root, 3rd, and 5th more when i solo. Never thought of useing it like that, nice job.
